New Enrollment

The pioneering NOA Retirement Pension Plan is the first of its kind outside traditional union collective bargaining.

  • Offers Safe Harbor and Profit Sharing
  • Permits employees to make additional pre-tax contributions to their own plans.
  • Allows an additional discretionary employer matching contribution.
  • The National Organizers Alliance, as plan sponsor, has its own NOA Retirement Pension Program Administrator and Bonded Pension Trustees.

How to sign-up

To participate in the NOA Retirement Pension Plan, you must be a social change, arts or service agency and agree to the basic NOA mission.

To make it possible for struggling non-profit organizations to participate NOA underwrites administrative fees for individual participants. That lets us offer the Pension Plan to qualifying organizations at the following rates:

  • One-time set-up fee: $450
  • Annual Organizational Fee: $450**
  • Per Active Employee: $37 annually

**Prorated for new enrollments.

Under the Safe Harbor, the minimum employer contribution is 5% of gross salary for eligible employees.  The Profit Sharing is a nonelective contribution that is determined by the employer.  Employers may elect to make contributions larger than this and/or establish and employer matching contribution program through the pension plan.

If you're an employer, contact us at 301-270-0640 for an employer enrollment kit.  If you already have a plan, call for information on rolling it into the NOA plan.

And don't forget to ask your funders for assistance. Some foundations offer discretionary funding for the first year of fees associated with the pension plan.

Don't delay. Become part of the NOA Retirement Pension Plan. Your investment will count many times over, and strengthen us all for the long haul.
